THE STUDIO
ABOUT FLORES TEXTILE STUDIO
Originally located in Praça das Flores, FLORES is now based in the historical neighborhood of Santa Catarina in Lisbon. Founded by two friends, Valentina Pilia, an Italian interior designer with experience at Pierre Yovanovich's studio in Paris, and Emma Pucci, a French-Swiss architect with a background in film production design, FLORES continues to reflect their passion for architecture and artisanal furniture and textile.
Both Valentina and Emma developed their love for textiles through extensive time spent in Morocco and India, respectively, where they were inspired by the craftsmanship and traditions of local artisans. After moving to Lisbon, they were driven to create their own studio to collaborate with clients on interior design projects.
While the studio has moved to Santa Catarina, the original space in Praça das Flores now serves as a dedicated venue for events and exhibitions curated by FLORES.
The studio’s focus remains on preserving artisanal craftsmanship through the use of traditional processes, ensuring that these antique techniques are carried into modern design. FLORES offers handwoven rugs and fabrics made in Portugal, along with a collection of essential furniture pieces crafted by local artisans and designed by the duo.
